At a time when creativity is being squeezed out of the education system, there has never been a more important time to focus on creative play to support our children’s positive development.
The Creation Station, the UK’s leading children’s creative experience company, has scooped the top ‘Highly Commended Award’ in the 2015 Creative Play Awards. The Creation Station’s innovative Fun Arty Box is packed with 10 activities and a further 10 ideas to help each child explore their ideas, discover new activities and develop their self-confidence and creativity.
Judith Lancaster, Creative Developer and Head of Communications, at The Creation Station, said:
“We are so delighted to have gained this very prestigious award in recognition of creativity and the ideas in our Fun Arty Box. We developed F.A.B. in response to a growing demand from families who wanted their children to benefit from more hands-on creative ways to explore, discover and develop. We’ve received wonderful feedback from children and parents and now this award is fabulous news!”
Now in it’s seventh year, the Creative Play Awards are sponsored and organised by Creative Steps magazine, a publication for adults which promotes creative play as part of a child’s development.
Evie’s mum, Kerrie Bush said:
“Evie loves her monthly Fun Arty Boxes. They are such a great idea and we are very glad you started doing them. We have been going to the Creation Station pre-school classes for about a year and a half, however since Evie started school the F.A.B. boxes are great as it means she can carry on being creative and developing her ideas and confidence.”
